The original program treats a borehole as more than infrastructure. Each water point can become a gathering place where communities connect, kindness classes are held and positive stories are shared.
Three fruit trees surrounding the gathering area symbolize the Foundation's Three Commitments to Kindness and create shade, comfort and a visible reminder of the program's values.

The Fantastic Life Saving Straw.
Fresh Water Worldwide is also presenting a compact filtration-straw concept intended for portable point-of-use water treatment. The underlying CleanSip design has been marketed for years and uses a combination of micro-filtration, activated carbon and a copper/zinc filtration medium.

Water-safety note: filtration performance depends on the water source, product condition and correct use. Follow the manufacturer's current instructions and local public-health guidance. Do not assume an unknown or hazardous water source is safe solely because it has passed through a portable filter.
